SUMMARY
Teenager Chrissy Mellin disappeared three years ago on the night of a blood moon. She was walking home from a trip to the convenience store in Auclair, Louisanna, when she was kidnapped, and her body was never found.
John Bowie is a troubled police detective who is disgruntled with how his department handled Chrissy Mellin’s case. His boss has warned Bowie to keep his grievances about the case to himself. Beth Collins is a producer on NY for Crisis Point, a True Crime television series. Beth has already put together an episode of Chrissy’s case, which will be aired in the next few weeks. Beth is now in Auclair to follow up on some issues she has with the case. She is worried that there may be more deaths to come on the next blood moon.
John and Beth work together to identify the culprit behind Chrissy’s disappearance, and sparks fly.

BLOOD MOON is a mystery and thriller with a steamy hot romance.
The story is meticulously constructed and suspenseful from start to finish. Author Sandra Brown's writing is intense, intriguing, and full of vivid detail and descriptions.
All the characters are well-developed. I particularly like John’s personality, his aggressive attitude, his dedication to his daughter, and his moral dilemmas regarding the past handling of Crissy’s case. I appreciated the development of his relationship with Beth. The book has several other unique characters; while you may not like some of them, the character development is impressive.
I listened to the audiobook and loved the performance by the narrator, Kyf Brewer. Brewer did a nice job with voice, tone, and pacing. His voice made the story seem very real, and I was captivated from the start.
